Our middle school scientists in Mr. Martin's classroom were able to explore real-world ecology by dissecting owl pellets—identifying prey bones, learning about food webs and predator-prey relationships, and practicing scientific inquiry skills. This hands-on, heat-treated activity brought biology to life in a safe and memorable way!

Throwback to last week: We had Deputy Richardson in with Mrs. Fortner working with our 6th grade students. Students were able to identify possible signs of stress, including physical and behavioral signs of stress. **And he survived being here on Halloween!

OTC CAREER CENTER SIGN UP WILL BE NEXT WEEK. This is for interested sophomores and juniors. Mrs. Porter will give the students a form to speed the process up but she would like to encourage students to have conversations with their caregivers over the weekend so they can be prepared to apply on Wednesday. Here are the career center videos use them as a resource as you ponder over the weekend your first andf second choice for a program. Please NOTE: students may apply for the program of their choosing but OTC requires a second option as it is not uncommon for classes to fill up and students to get placed in their second option until a spot becomes available. | Watch the areer center videos here - https://academics.otc.edu/careercenter/technical-education-programs-for-high-school-students/ and in you want more info check out the FAQ here: https://academics.otc.edu/careercenter/about-us/
