Important Dates to Remember: Monday & Tuesday, November 24-25 and Thanksgiving Break will be November 26-28.

Lots of important dates and events are coming up soon. Mark your calendars now so you don't miss out!!

What is your favorite recipe? First choice when asked to make something to take to a potluck or family gathering? The 4-H Club would love to have those recipes to include in their cookbook. The Polk Co 4-H meets here at school for our students the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Please submit your recipes today to: hmanning@missouri.edu

Walnut Grove is excited to partner with Burrell to offer a short student session focused on ‘Navigating Friendships.’ This opportunity helps students develop skills that support kindness, connection, and positive peer relationships. We will be having these discussions on November 18, during RTI for JH students and then during RTI for HS students.

The Academic Team hosted the Challenge Games on Wednesday, November 12, welcoming five visiting teams along with our own students. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped as readers, timers, and scorekeepers—your support made the event possible. Our students competed in both varsity and junior varsity matches, showcasing the hours of hard work and practice they’ve put in with Mrs. Pybas already this year. It was a great opportunity for them to demonstrate what they know and celebrate the idea that knowledge truly is power.

A great day of service for Mrs. Hillis and some of her high school students volunteering at the Humane Society! They helped socialize animals, assisted with cleaning and care, and learned more about what it takes to support local shelters. Thank you for representing WG so well!

What a day at Wonders of Wildlife! Our middle school students explored habitats, observed amazing species, and connected what they’ve learned in class to the world around them. A perfect mix of adventure and learning! Great memories for sure! So many pictures here are a few for you!

Hope that you are all doing well, just wanted to post this letter again so that as you are shopping this weekend you can pick up a few extra items for our Week of Giving next week. See the items requested for each class on the flyer -- we'll also be collecting money to help buy gifts for those in need next week as well. Each class is going to be collecting. If you would like to donate to a specific class or just to the fund in general reach out to the offices and we can help you out!

It may be cold outside today but Miss Bruce sent me these photos she snapped last week when it was still warm and sunny outside with the kids enjoying coming down the new slide. Love those smiles!!!

Come and join us for Meet the Tigers on Nov. 13 for dinner at 5:30 p.m. and a dessert auction at 6:15 p.m. | Cost for dinner = Donation!! | Thank you to Sharp Plumbing and Fortner Truck & Tractor for providing the meal for the evening!!

Congrats to all of our Science Olympiad participants and winners at the PCL Competition at Hermitage last week. We are proud of all the hard work that goes into preparing students for competition and want to thank Mrs. Potter & Mr. Martin.

OTC CAREER CENTER SIGN UP WILL BE NEXT WEEK. This is for interested sophomores and juniors. Mrs. Porter will give the students a form to speed the process up but she would like to encourage students to have conversations with their caregivers over the weekend so they can be prepared to apply on Wednesday. Here are the career center videos use them as a resource as you ponder over the weekend your first andf second choice for a program. Please NOTE: students may apply for the program of their choosing but OTC requires a second option as it is not uncommon for classes to fill up and students to get placed in their second option until a spot becomes available. | Watch the areer center videos here - https://academics.otc.edu/careercenter/technical-education-programs-for-high-school-students/ and in you want more info check out the FAQ here: https://academics.otc.edu/careercenter/about-us/
