The junior high Tigers and Lady Tigers will have their first basketball game of the season tonight at home vs. Macks Creek starting at 5 pm. The order of the games tonight are as follows: Girls A game - 2 quarters of girls B - Boys A game - 2 quarters of boys B. Come out tonight and cheer on the Tigers and Lady Tigers!

Elementary parents - please don't forget to get your forms turned in for the Polk County Youth Basketball League that starts October 16th. We must have those forms turned in this week to determine teams and get uniforms ordered. Any questions, please contact Coach Henry.

The JH Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams will compete in the Morrisville Tournament from September 18-24th. Come out and support our Tigers and Lady Tigers!

The Walnut Grove Lady Tiger Softball Tournament will be held on September 10th and 11th this year. The Lady Tigers will open play by facing Lebanon at 3:45 pm on Friday the 10th.

Menu Change for Thursday, September 2nd. **Due to supply shortages incurred by our grocery supplier we may experience unexpected menu changes throughout the month. We will do our best to give as much advance notice as possible. We appreciate your understanding.

Attention elementary parents: On Friday we sent home flyers for the upcoming Polk County Youth Basketball League. Those forms will need to be turned in by September 8th in order for us to determine teams and to get jerseys ordered. The Walnut Grove R-V School District has received confirmation of one positive case of COVID-19 at Walnut Grove Elementary. Our total number of active cases is 2. Close contacts of this individual have been identified and those required to quarantine have been notified. The Greene County Health Department has been notified as well. Walnut Grove R-V students, staff, and community members should use daily self-screening protocols and should stay home if displaying symptoms of COVID-19. September Lunch and Breakfast menus

IT'S GAMEDAY! Come out and cheer on the Lady Tigers softball team as they open the season in the Morrisville Tournament vs. Republic today at 3:50 pm. The game will be played on the west field at Morrisville High School.

ELEMENTARY PARENTS AUG 27, 2021 AFTER SCHOOL: Each student needs to have a normal of what they are doing after school. This is so the teachers can get them where they need to be. If you are making changes for that day or the normal please call the office and make those arrangements. LUNCH: If your student brings a lunch and wants a milk they will be charged 35 cents. The Lady Tigers softball team is selling team t-shirts and hoodies. They come in black and grey and youth sizes as well as adult sizes. Orders must be placed and paid for online through the attached link. You can choose to have your order group shipped to the school or for an extra fee can have it shipped to your home. Students are encouraged but not required to wear masks at school. However, it is federally mandated that all students wear a mask while riding a bus. Our drivers will have masks available when students get on the bus in the morning. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Anyone interested in running cross-country needs to contact the High School Office or email Coach Hillis at ehillis@wgtigers.com immediately. Practice will begin Tuesday, August 24th after school. You will need to have a physical on file in order to practice.

The junior high and high school students will be using a new online learning platform this year. The platform we will be using is called Canvas. The Walnut Grove R-V School District encourages but will not mandate masking for all students and staff. Masking may be considered throughout the school year if student and staff positive cases and quarantines become significantly high.
