This Sunday, April 14th, is the Sechler Family Benefit at 12:30pm right here at Walnut Grove Schools! Lunch begins at 12:30 pm by donation in the FEMA building with live music with a pie/live auction following in the gym at 2pm. Our beloved PE teacher and Boys Basketball Coach, Coach Eric Sechler, and his wife, Fair Grove's second grade teacher Stacy Sechler, have begun their battle against Stacy's cancer diagnosis. We hope you can make it out to help us support the Sechler family!

Many of our students were able to attend the Build my Future Event, a construction show case for area high school students. The event connects students with the construction industry so that students can learn about potential career opportunities in the industry, shedding light on meaningful and good paying jobs. There were countless hands-on activities and the students had a great time.
The baseball game tonight has been moved to 6:30pm.
Mrs. Hillis and Mrs. Porter took a group of students to explore the various programs offered by OTC’s Career Center. It was a great time, and students were able to see what program is the best fit for them. There are so many great programs that allow students a hands-on approach to learning valuable skills.
Have a kiddo ready for preschool? Preschool Registration will be on Wednesday, April 24 from 4-5pm in the WG preschool room. See you then!
Due to weather the track meet today was postponed to April 25th.
There will be Highschool track practice only today after school until 5pm.
Kindergarten also got to visit the Fire Station during their specials in guidance this month. The weather was even nice enough that they got to play with the water! So much fun was had by all. Thank you to Walnut Grove Service men and women for welcoming us in and teaching the kids about the important work that you do.

Important dates for our Seniors!
Last week in guidance with Mrs. Porter, the 1st Grade enjoyed a trip to the Walnut Grove Fire Station for career exploration. Both the Firemen and the Police showed them around and let them explore. The kids had so much fun and already want to go back. Thank you, Walnut Grove servicemen and women, for keeping our town safe and for building trusting relationships with the students.
A few weeks ago our high school Spanish students enjoyed their annual field trip for lunch and shopping at the Latino Market!
Congratulations to this group of Seniors on their decision to attend OTC in the Fall. They attended orientation yesterday where they toured the campus, scheduled their classes, and had fun.
