The girls basketball team has added the following home games to their schedule:
Saturday February 5th vs. Hollister @ 2 pm
Monday February 14th vs. Springfield Rush @ 6 pm

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will be hosting the Tigers from Humansville this evening in the Fieldhouse. Games begin at 5:30pm. Order of games will be 2 quarters JV boys, varsity girls, varsity boys. Come out tonight and cheer on your Tiger teams !
Due to Covid issues within the girls basketball team, the team has had to withdrawal from the Pleasant Hope Tournament this week.
The Lady Tigers will be competing in the Pleasant Hope Tournament next week. They will be the #1 seed and open play vs Humansville on Tuesday at 4 pm.
The girls basketball game tonight at Spokane is still on as planned. Varsity will start at 6 pm and there will 1-2 quarters of JV to follow. Come out and cheer on our Lady Tigers!

The boys basketball team have added a game tomorrow night at Hurley. The game will start at 6 pm and will be a full varsity game followed by 2 quarters of JV.

Sign-up for this year's WGHS Mini-Cheer Clinic is going on this week through Friday, January 7th. The Clinic will be Tuesday, 01/18 & Thursday, 01/20 with the performance being held during halftime of the girls game on January 20th. The clinic is open to all girls and boys in grades PK-5th. Cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt with an option for a hairbow for an additional $5. Any sign-ups after January 7th won't be guaranteed a t-shirt for the night of the performance.

Today we wrapped up another successful Holiday Classic. We had a great boys and girls tournament and there was some excellent basketball played. We want to thank everyone who helped to make this possible. Thank you to all of our sponsors. In particular, we would like to thank our title sponsor Morris Brothers Embroidery for providing all of the players T-shirts and coaches gifts and the Pitchfork Restaurant in Bolivar for providing the hospitality room. We would also like to thank anyone who helped work at the concession stand, score table, gate, or just helped out throughout the tournament. We cant wait to do it again next year!
The Lady Tiger basketball team is raffling off a Lazy Boy recliner from Harman’s Home Furnishings valued at $599. The raffle will be held at the championship of the boys tournament in December 31st. Tickets are $5 a piece or 5 for $20. If you are interested in buying a ticket please see a Lady Tiger basketball player or manager.
Attention parents of athletes- Booster club is in need of volunteers for concession stand help for holiday classic. Concessions are primary source of revenue and how we give back to our students in ALL sports not just basketball for items such as uniforms, equipment, and tourney fees. We are asking all parents of student Athletes to PLEASE volunteer for a game Games run all day 12/27, 12/28, 12/29. Congratulations to December's Leaders of the Month!
The Walnut Grove Holiday Classic basketball tournament will begin on Tuesday, 12/21/21 and run through Friday, 12/31/21. The tournament features 32 teams from around SW Missouri including our Tiger basketball teams. Come out and enjoy some great basketball and to cheer on your Tigers and Lady Tigers.
