
We're excited to announce the dates for the Fall Concert and Christmas Concert.
The Fall Concert will be on October 18th at 6:00 P.M. Cub Choir, 8th Grade, Chamber Choir, and Band will be performing on that evening.
The Christmas Concert will be on December 9th at 6:00 P.M. 4th Grade, Cub Choir, 6th Grade, Chamber Choir, and Band will be performing at the Christmas Concert.
Both concerts are currently scheduled to be held at First Baptist Church due to construction on the gym. They are free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you there!

Tiger family we're on the countdown...School starts 2 weeks from TODAY!! Next week is full of different activities so be sure and check out the flyers to see which ones apply to you. We are excited to see everyone back and looking forward to welcoming our newest additions to our Tiger family.





School Calendar for the 2022-2023 school year


There will be an Open House and Parent Information Meeting for our incoming Pre-School and Kindergarten students on Tuesday evening, August 16th from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the First Baptist Church Walnut Grove. The parent information meeting will begin at 6:30pm with the Open House immediately following. All parents and students are encouraged to attend.


Freshman Orientation for all incoming Freshman will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 18th, immediately following Open House in the cafeteria. All parents and incoming Freshman are encouraged to attend.


Back to School Open House for grades 1st thru 12th is scheduled for Thursday, August 18th. Everyone is invited and highly encouraged to attend. More information about what to expect for the upcoming 22-23 school year will be coming out over the next few weeks before school starts.


We will be offering Tiger Time to our Walnut Grove families again this year !


Back to School Registration will be held Monday and Tuesday, August 15th & 16th. Registration times are 8:30am-11:00am and 1:00pm-2:30pm. No appointment is needed. Registration is for New enrollments to the Walnut Grove school district in grades K-12 and current Juniors and Seniors scheduling. All K-5th grade will register in the elementary office. All 6-12 in the High School Office. For more information call 417-788-2543, ext 101 for elementary, ext 102 for Jr High/High School.

Citizenship Award goes to Kira Buckner and Blake Maxwell for Walnut Grove Elementary! Congratulations!


Each year MSHSAA recognizes 2 student athletes (1 boy and 1 girl) from each school for their exemplary display of sportsmanship, ethics, & integrity. Congratulations to this year’s winners Anna Bourke and Gavin Fortner.


Congratulations to Harlee Maxwell and Miguel Najera for begin awarded the Citizenship award for the 21-22 school year. This award recognizes one boy and one girl student from grades 9-12 who demonstrates the qualities of active participation in civic or community activities, good scholarship and school involvement. The teachers voted on this award.


Congratulations to our 2022 Mr. and Miss WGHS Anna Bourke and Miguel Najera. To be selected as Mr. or Miss Walnut Grove, a student should best fit the description of being a student with no discipline problems, who cooperates, takes part in, and supports school activities of all kinds, one who works up to ability in class and is a good “all around” representative of the school, at home, and during away-from-home activities. The teachers nominated seniors and the high school students voted on which student is the best candidate
