Winter Weather Aware + AMI Day Information

Walnut Grove R-V Schools – Winter Weather Aware

Walnut Grove Staff and Families,

District administrators are closely monitoring the forecast as inclement winter weather could potentially affect our area. In the event of a school closure we will do our best to notify families and employees as soon as possible regarding any cancellations or changes to our regular schedule.

Messages are typically sent by 6:00 a.m. on the day of a necessary closure via our Tiger Alert textcaster alert system (sign up at wgtigers.com) and will be posted on our social media platforms and sent to the local news stations.

In the event school is canceled due to inclement weather, Walnut Grove R-V Schools will specify in its communication whether it is an AMI Day or Snow Day. Our first 5 closures will be AMI Days that will not have to made up during our spring semester. Snow days that will need to be made up begins with the sixth school closure.
