Snow Days and AMI Days

December 1, 2023

Dear Tiger Families,

Snow days will be here before we know it. We have an alternative for snow make-up days called Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) days. AMI days will not need to be made up on Mondays or at the end of the year. During AMI days, K-12 students will be provided assignments and learning activities that must be completed in order for your child’s attendance to count as a regular school day. The state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education only allows school districts to use five AMI days in a school year.

When school is cancelled and an AMI day occurs, district communication will note, “Due to inclement weather, WG R-V is closed, AMI Day #___.”

If you have any questions, please direct them to your student’s building level principal.
