Dear Walnut Grove Family,
We are so excited about our first day of school tomorrow! Since construction crews are still at work and our new circle drive isn’t completed yet, please follow the following instructions and the map directions for temporary drop off/pick up procedures. To ensure everyone’s safety, all K-12 students will be dropped off/picked up at the high school parking lot. PreK will be dropped off/picked up on the west side of the elementary building.
- PreK Parents Drop Off/Pick Up and morning Procedures:
- Parents will park on the west side of the elementary building in the mornings and walk their student inside for check-in at their classroom.
- PreK students who eat breakfast will need a parent to walk their student to the cafeteria, eat breakfast with their student, and then walk them to class.
- PreK parents will pick up their students in the afternoons on the west side of the elementary building in a circle drive fashion.
- There will be cones, caution tape, and signs set up to assist you.
- K-12 Parents Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures:
- We are asking parents to enter the high school parking lot on Wall Street and exit onto College Street.
- Please note there is a one-way entrance and a one-way exit to ensure safety of all students, faculty, and staff.
- There will be cones, caution tape, and signs set up to distinguish between bus lane and car lane in the high school parking lot.
- K-12 Morning Procedures:
- At 7:40 our doors open for drop off and breakfast.
- K-12 breakfast will be in the cafeteria. When students are finished eating, they can report to their 1st hour/Homeroom class.
- Any students not eating breakfast need to report to their 1st hour/Homeroom class.
- Multipurpose Room
- The multipurpose room doors and doors between buildings are temporarily closed. These are the doors on the east side of the building where the new future circle drive will be located.
- Parents, Students, and Visitor Entries past 8am
- PreK-5th grades: You will need to enter the building through our new safe and secure entry vestibule located in the west elementary entrance.
- JH/HS: You will need to enter the building through our new safe and secure entry vestibule located in the south JH/HS entrance behind the canon.
